FanBants Terms of Use

Effective date: Sep 1, 2025

1) Overview & Acceptance

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of FanBants’ websites, mobile applications, and related products and services (collectively, the “Services”). By accessing or using the Services, creating an account, or clicking “I agree,” you accept these Terms and the documents incorporated by reference.

2) Who We Are

“FanBants,” “we,” “our,” or “us” means the FanBants entity operating in Nigeria.

3) Eligibility

  • You must be at least eighteen (18) years old and physically located in Nigeria to enter paid contests/markets and to be eligible for prizes.

  • You may only register one (1) account in your name.

  • You must provide accurate information and keep it updated.

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and all activity under your account.

Conflicts / Restricted Persons. Individuals who may influence outcomes or possess non-public, event-sensitive information (e.g., officials, event decision-makers, content moderators for a competing product, etc.) may be restricted from participation as set out in the Integrity Policy and any applicable Rules. FanBants employees and their household members may not enter public cash contests/markets.

4) Definitions

  • “Games/Markets” includes FanBants Fantasy contests and Gist Market prediction markets, unless a Rule indicates otherwise.

  • “Entry/Position Amount” means a user’s principal cash used to enter a Game/Market.

  • “Winnings” means payouts from successful entries per applicable Rules.

  • Other capitalized terms have the meanings in these Terms or the Integrity Policy.

5) Using the Services

You agree not to:

  • Provide false information, impersonate another person, or share accounts.

  • Use bots, scrapers, or other automated means.

  • Collude, manipulate markets, or otherwise act to obtain an unfair advantage.

  • Violate the Integrity Policy, Rules & Scoring, or applicable law.

We may suspend, limit, or terminate accounts for violations (see Section 10 and the Integrity Policy).

6) Game/Market Entry & Rules

Each Game/Market has Rules & Scoring that govern entry conditions, scoring, settlement, and payouts. If Rules conflict with these Terms for how a specific Game/Market is scored or settled, the Rules control for that Game/Market.

7) Payments & General Refund Position

Unless expressly stated in these Terms or the Integrity Policy, payments are generally final and non-refundable.
Exceptions include:

  • Cancelled Games/Markets (entry fees returned).

  • Voided trades/entries under the Integrity Policy (legitimate Entry/Position Amount may be refunded, while illicit profits/winnings may be forfeited).

  • Any statutory rights that cannot be excluded.

We may place holds/freezes on balances and delay/deny withdrawals while we review account activity under the Integrity Policy.

8) Prizes & Payouts

Subject to eligibility, rule compliance, and successful completion of any verification (KYC/POA/Source-of-Funds), we use reasonable efforts to award prizes promptly after settlement. We may request documents; failure to provide them may result in denial or forfeiture as described in the Integrity Policy.

9) Withdrawals

You can request withdrawals of available cash in your wallet. Promotional credits/bonuses are not withdrawable unless their stated conditions are satisfied. We may delay/deny withdrawals where we have a good-faith concern about fraud, chargeback risk, or a breach of the Integrity Policy.

10) Investigations, Holds & Account Actions

We may review accounts at any time for suspected violations, integrity risks, or responsible-gaming concerns. During a review, we may:

  • Suspend access (full or partial),

  • Freeze balances,

  • Impose limits, and/or

  • Request KYC/POA/Source-of-Funds documents.

Outcomes can include reinstatement, limits, voiding of trades/entries, refund of legitimate Entry/Position Amount, forfeiture of illicit or policy-breaching gains, permanent closure, and/or reporting to authorities, as detailed in the Integrity Policy.

11) Responsible Gaming

Tools for limits and self-exclusion are available. We may impose stricter limits or exclusions if we detect harmful patterns. See the Integrity Policy.

12) Content & IP

The Services and all content are protected by intellectual-property laws. You receive a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use the Services for personal, non-commercial purposes. User Submissions are licensed to FanBants as detailed here; do not upload unlawful or infringing content.

13) Disclaimers

Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

14) Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FanBants’ total liability arising out of or relating to the Services shall not exceed ₦10,000. Certain rights may not be excluded under applicable law.

15) Changes

We may update these Terms and incorporated documents. We will post the effective date and may provide notices for material changes. Continued use after updates means you accept the changes.

16) Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Nigeria. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria, unless a mandatory law specifies otherwise.

Precedence. If these Terms conflict with the Integrity Policy regarding investigations, account actions, voiding, and refunds related to prohibited activity, the Integrity Policy controls. If the Terms conflict with Rules & Scoring on how a specific Game/Market is scored or settled, the Rules & Scoring control for that Game/Market.

 

FanBants reserves the right to amend these Terms of Use at any time and without notice, and it is your responsibility to review these Terms of Use for any changes. If you continue to use the Services after the Company amends these Terms of Use, you accept all changes. The failure of FanBants to comply with any provision of these Terms of Use due to an act of God, hurricane, war, fire, riot, earthquake, terrorism, act of public enemies, actions of governmental authorities outside of the control of the Company (excepting compliance with applicable codes and regulations) or other force majeure event will not be considered a breach of these Terms of Use.

FanBants AND OTHER TRADEMARKS CONTAINED ON THE WEBSITE ARE TRADEMARKS OR REGISTERED TRADEMARKS OF FanBants IN THE UNITED STATES AND/OR OTHER COUNTRIES. THIRD PARTY TRADEMARKS, TRADE NAMES, PRODUCT NAMES AND LOGOS MAY BE THE TRADEMARKS OR REGISTERED TRADEMARKS OF THEIR RESPECTIVE OWNERS. YOU MAY NOT REMOVE OR ALTER ANY TRADEMARK, TRADE NAMES, PRODUCT NAMES, LOGO, COPYRIGHT OR OTHER PROPRIETARY NOTICES, LEGENDS, SYMBOLS OR LABELS ON THE WEBSITE.
